its been raining  on & off for 3 days now and all I wanna do is curled up under  my blanket..but were running out of food  so weed to buy haiiizzz.. im not in the mood to  go out  really since its raining I need a jacket and that’s where this outfit was created I held my eyes in this military jacket and everything follows actually I have a military tank top too but I guess that would be too much.

preparing for the connecticut trip

Friday morning were going to Connecticut for a short visit just a week end actually. so before I pack our bags I looked for the weather forecast to know what kind of clothes to bring I know its summer  but still scared that might still cold there but I don’t think so.
what I prepared?
outfit 1 pink day. floral shorts from charlotte russe paired with my 3 years old  blush top   guess by Marciano  still looks good huh… with blush accessories too from charlotte russe and crystal & charmz
outfit 2 cant decide if i will ll wear shorts or jeans on the plane its like  almost 3 hours flight I guess but sometimes plane can be so cold plus the airport so still thinking… charlotte russe skinny jeans or yellow volcom shorts paired with big striped with small polkas top I love this top  2 patterns in 1 shirt plus the colors just love it. Im skeptical at first either  to paired it with turquoise accessories yellow , pink or white but at the end turquoise wins.
outfit 3 monochromatic plus yellow accessories..  its funny that I always wanted to wear this top. if you  can remember I brought this top in our Kissimmee trip  paired with floral shorts but end up not wearing both and last week end I brought this pair to our Jacksonville trip but end up not wearing them  so  hopefully i can wear it to Connecticut lol… when preparing stuff to bring in a trip I always bring  extra clothes so that I have choices and this trip I will bring extra denim jeans and a pair  of shorts and tube top ( look like a jump short,  not in the picture though  I grabbed it for the last minute after downloading pix on my computer).
no. 4 just a dress for the hotel and sleeping sometimes I wore that as  skirt and can be wear as a top to at first I planned to pair it with the green shorts but I changed my mind.
no.5 we might go to the beach though I hate it I don’t want to burn my skin..lol..

we had a great memorial week end. started it on Friday for grocery shopping & ate out drove back and forth to Jacksonville on Saturday and Sunday we had fun there.
yesterday my hubby wake up early cooked our breakfast and we took a nap after that’s a good way to gain weight ..lol..I know im gaining weight and its hard to loss them.
after lunch we went to a movie as planned. we watched fast & furious 6 and its cool I always love action movies.

yesterday we went home from Jacksonville were both tired from the previous night and hubby wants to  be home early so we left around 7am we dropped by @ dennys to have some breakfast  and drove back home.
as we drove by the exit to have some gas I saw the hobby store and we went unfortunately its closed on sunday haaaiizzzz not a good time. but there were couples of clothes and shoes there so its time to shop I was not able to buy anthing fron Jacksonville yesterday and I still have my shopping money. I bought wedge  and flat sandal, dress, tops and necklace it was a good finds..

jacksonville florida

last Friday  out of the blue my husbands called informing us that his coming on  Jacksonville Florida and he wants us to meet him there. We haven't seen him for almost a year since we left Saudi Arabia  so we decided to drive in JAX, a 4hour drive from home (240miles)...we looked for a hotel online and his friend told us to get this hotel instead bec. its just near in his mothers house. Friday night after they talked I packed our bags I just randomly picked my& my husbands clothes for me I already had this combos in my head , every time I shopped  a clothes ,shoes or accessories I will go to my closet and think what outfit I can create with this so in time that I cant think what to wear or in were in a hurry I have something stored in my mind. I prepared  3 sets of clothes bec. hubby told me that we might stop in Daytona.
Saturday around 3am he wakes up and told me maybe we should prepare and leave no way I still wants to sleep lol.. at around 7am were on our way  we made some stops like gas station, dunkin donuts for breakbast and rests stops. We arrived  in Jacksonville around lunch time checked in our hotel room and waited for his friend to pick us up to have lunch and to paint the town red.. We had lunch @ bonos BBQ after spinning around for some restos.  The food was great I like the steaks. after lunch we drive to earnies house to meet his mom shes a sweet lady. and then we proceed to the downtown .and we end up in Culhanes irish pub its a nice place  they had couple of drinks and just water for me waaaahhhh..lol I hate drinking outside my house bec. in my house if I get drunk who cares im in my house.and then after the pub we went to Jacksonville landings and we had fun it happens that they had jazz festival stall are all over, beers, booze, accessories, clothes but I don't see anything that I like so I didn't buy any what a shame ..lol.. we went to hooters too and im  a hooters  collector but they don't have  tank top or cute shirt so I didn't buy any grrrr.... I hate it.. I enjoyed walking there eat some foods and just simply looking for people and listening to jazz music.. we headed home around 9pm. and I was so tired so I never post on my blog yesterday..

lime and lemon….i love that color combo.. so i tried to create a simple outfit for it.with a color block shorts of white and lime annd added my yellow top..just a simple summery look for a hot humid day.

when choosing what to wear it all depends on my mood, the weather, and the time frame i mean do i need a time to brain storm for it or not and it usually happens my husband wants us to go here & there and he wants to leave sooner like after 30 minutes it doesnt take 30 mins for me to get dress and put on some make up. i can prepare for 5 mins and jump on the car for the next 6 mins. but on some special occasion, formal occasions and thats the weakness of my closet i got bunch of clothes for a casual day, party i got some but formal? hmmpp i need to think about that bec im not used to it i have couple of blazer, pants and some nice blouse but im not used of wearing or making such combo so i takes time. if we have the upcoming trip over night, 2 days 3 days or more i planned ahead looking for the weather of our destination so that i will know what kind of clothes to prepare..do we need jackets, light clothes and stuff like that..im an organized person and i dont want stressors such as craming packing and looking for something needed for the trip.my only downfull is that i usually change my bag everytime we go out im a matchy-matchy girl remember and my worse experience was, I was in the philippines I prepared my bag a night before bec. i just want to grabbed them in the morning and go but sometimes i changed my mind regarding what clothes to wear bec. of the weather or some other factors so when i changed my clothes i usually changed my bag as well so that day i went to PRC manila i left home early and confident that i have everythng i need thats what i think i arrived at the PRC went inside fall in line and as i am standing in line i started looking for my claim form and i cant find it anywhere and i know a night prior i put it in my bag with out realizing that i changed my bag and my claim form was in the pocket grrrrr… and i cant get my document if i lossed it i can but still a lot to process you know the affidavit of loose and blah…blah.. so to cut the story short i have to call my sister and drag her to bring my claim form from cavite to PRC manila what an ass… my point is that look and be sure that you empty your bag pockets everytime you use it and im still guilty for that sometimes when i get ill just tossed my bag in the closet

large striped skirt and white..sometimes when i fell my skirt or top color is loud i usually go with neutrals to pair it with and thats what how i felt with this black-red skirt so i wore white top with it… just a short errands though thats why my hubby said” you really dresses up huh” well not really i just grabbed emm and wear em and i feel like wearing skirt its not my intention to dress up my skirt is too short anyway.
well we mailed my course evaluation form yesterday hopefully everything will be fine help me God and we planned to eat out but something came up so we went home and eat blueberry pancake from wallmart instead its good though..

BOC leopard flat maybe the first & last & most expensive flat that i bought because im not a fun of flats i will buy boots and stellitos for 100$ but not flat for 60$ i know im kinda cheap but i came from a country that everything are cheaper compared in here because of the currency rate..and everytime i bought something i tend to convert it and i will rolled my eyes and utter ” this is expensive” and my husband answered back ” no its not” now im trying not convert anymore bec. its added to my guilt everytime i shopped like weekly..lol

im a packrat person a real packrat I guess its because I grow up with nothing much in my hand I only have what I need or not even sometimes growing up in a big family is tough I grew up in a hand me down style sort of. And maybe that made me value everything that I have or way back in my childhood days im really an organized person I folded my clothes put them on my small cabinet if u can call that a cabinet ..lol.. I own a crayons more than a year or two its ridiculous as it may sound but its true and at the end of the school year my notebook still looks good as if their new yea that’s me an OC kind of a girl.. until now im like that maybe not as organized as before bec as you grow older responsibilities came you got busy you got chores to do but when it come to my clothes not just my clothes but my shoes and bags as well I do the same organizing and reorganizing them over and over again, by color, by style, by length a dress should be hang with the dress a long sleeves, a cardigan goes together, a blazer and jacket group together too and so on and so fort . and now I finally decided to sort my clothes by colors and style and I also took our kitchen & utensils closet for my bags & shoes thanks goodness my husband don’t said anything…
I kept clothes more than 5 years and believe it or not they still looks good as if new my jeans fades a little bit but still good I usually kept quality clothes and yes price and quality works well. Sometimes I alter my clothes if I got tired of it or if it doesn’t fit me anymore .. I learned to sew when I was 11 yo. My sister was trying to make some babies pillow cases and the likes for her upcoming baby and one day she told me make that ..huh how? I dont know how… and she told me ‘’ apakan mo lang tatakbo yan electric eh’’ ( just step on it , it will run that’s an electric machine) and so I did and it amazed be bec I was able to finished the pillow cases and the likes for my niece. And being a rookie with the new skills ive learned I want to sew everything give me a piece of cloth and I will make you a hunky..lol.. it really interest me. and of course I made a lot of mistakes and accidents too one time im sewing and I sewed my finger nails yes my finger nails as I looked into my fingers I saw a small hole the needle goes thru in it im just lucky the needle didn’t break on me but it doesn’t stop me it only teach me one thing to be more careful and don’t put finger near the running needle. Don’t ask me how many needles I brooked coz. I count them anymore all I know was lots and lots of them.
When I was in college my sister own a sewing machine so I bought some cloth and made some night dress shorts or what ever just to do something.. and when I was in Jeddah kingdom of Saudi Arabia my friend has a sewing machine so I usually evade her room and use it repairing clothes , making some house clothes or what ever just to kill time in that boring place..lol
When I was in khamis mushayt kingdom of Saudi Arabia I bought my own sewing machine bec the agency lied to us they told us that the company will gonna give us uniforms and were lucky we brought some I only brought 2 pairs I guess and its not good for 1 week duty so instead of buying those big uniforms I decided to make my own and it help me killed the boredom in that god forsaking place..lol..and I made some money out of it too ..lol.. there are times that I want this certain jumpsuit but its too big and I cant really find my size ill make mine instead then and I did and nobody can tell that its not pro who made it lol.. of course it takes time for me to do it compared to the professional sewers but im happy and proud to wear something that I made.
Lats feb. I told my husband I want a sewing machine so we went to sears and bought one and its become my toy ever since aside from my computer and tablet , Farmville and candy crash of course. I used t to alter some dress and jeans bec. Im so unfortunate with height so I really need to make an alterations in my dress and jeans well its another way to do the cost cutting right the same way I cut my husband’s hair every week to avoid paying 12-15 USd every week in the saloon aside from sitting & waiting in the saloon bec. he don’t like to wait..were using electric razor with length specification anyway so just run the razor and its done.
Im line with designing and making some clothes here I don’t buy cloth here bec its expensive already so I don’t really made some masterpiece here..lol but I made a lot of repairs and redesigning though.
I had this pleated skirt before actually it’s a 2 piece dress and I didn’t wear that pleated skirt really bec. I think its unflattering to me because my hips is wide so I think pleated skirts don’t really works for me so what I did was I made that pleated skirt into a peplum skirt and peplums are such a trend now. ( April post)
I love repairing and redesigning clothes recently I bought a maxi dress and its too long for me so I cut it and after cutting it I have too much cloth in my hand enough to design some bolero and I did ( my Mondays post).
now that im leaving abroad, sometimes i missed my old stuff and nobody can tell that they are 5 years older i really take good care of my stauff and maybe quantity helps on the process too, bec if you only have 3 clothes the tendency is that you will wear & washed it over and over again but if you have more than enough for a month the gap between reusing the clothes is long and washng them is not often compared of having 3 clothes. my point is that dont think that you dont need that much maybe you dont but it will help to preserve youre clothes.i dont believe when somebody said if you dont wear yout clothes for 3 mos maybe you should toss it away i dont do that bec trend tend to comback after many years and if you kept your old stuff and the trend came back no need to buy right just dig in at the back of your closet

we had a nice week end, yesterday we statrted our day with dennys breakfast ( tomorrows post) after breakfast we went home took our shower and prepared for the church, our usual sunday, breakfast and church.. after church we run some errands ..yes me on my dress and stilletos and my hubby with his church clothes..nice..lol…we went to pharmacy to picked up a prescription,went to advance auto supply for some car cleaner and wax and finally the grocery shopping… and after that we went home and took a nap.. like 4 hours nap..lol…when we wke up its almost 6pm so we started to make our dinner , a steak.. and its yummy..

aeropstale dress actually this dress is just a strap dress but i dont wear strap dress in church so my creativity kicked in..lol.. bec im so unfortunate with my height every maxi dress that i bought i always altered them and its not just an inch but maybe 2 or 3inches lol..looking at the cloth that ive cut from my dress im thinking what can i do with it ?.. ok why not making a bolero out of it.. and yes i made it.. im always a packed rat that i kept everything bec i always believe that everything has purpose and even old clothes has a purpose and it has..what i did was i used my old top not really old its just that i out grown it… out of a usual tee i cut it in the middle and sew some of the remains from my dress to make a bolero to layer my dress.. and it looks nice..and thats the story behind this dress and ohh i got some compliment with this dress yesterday..

a greeny thursday everyone…i am into collecting colored shorts i guess..lol..and i love this green denim shorts from JCpenny..as i am playing with my closet thinking what to wear for some errands this black collared shirt catched my eyes i havent wear this since we went to BIG E. my hubby always said that t it will take a year for me to wear my clothes again and my classic answer thats one trick to conserve youre clothes and its true i have some clothes like for ages ..lol i have my jeans and some tops from 2005 and they still looks good im just sure about the fitting though..

yesterday were in kissimee for for the concert but we want to have some fun as well so we decided to stay for a week end instead we started our day with breakfast at at dunkin doughnuts bec we missed our free hotel breakfast bec. we wke up late..lol..
were kinda tired for from the previous night so instead of going to a themepark as we planned we decide to raom around the flea market instead and it was fun.. i bought some stuff.. ofcourse …lol…
we went to Silver spurs arean almost 5pm and whewwww a lot of people there..and im happy to talk to some felow filipinos there and ofcourse the show was a blast.. i had so much fun..
