honey decided to celebrate my birth day even its late because were kinda busy busy during my birth day so Friday we booked a hotel in ft lauderdale, we left the house around 430 pm and its raining like crazy we reach the hotel around 7pm because we got to stop in Jupiter until rain stop and the water in the road clears out, we have a small car and the flood affecting our breaks so we stop.
sonesta hotel or better known as B ocean as the previous name is supposed to be 4 star hotel but were kinda dis appointed with it for some reason. but lets go first with the good points: it has a spectacular ocean view we really love it,
location wise its near in the strip so if you love the night life & party this is the place to go, near the store, the restos and the galleria mall 9 very nice mall)
staff are nice & friendly
clean & net room , not that big for the price though
BAD POINTS; the room is 207 /night plus tax but its not worth it
the elevator is very slow , it takes forever
no complimentary coffee & water ( we been to different scale of hotel and they always have coffee & water, hyyat has star bucks , double tree by Hilton has nice warm cookies as a welcome treat, this hotel you got nothing)
no ref & microwave in the room ( for the price we expected a nice bar in the room)
expensive parking 28+tax daily valet parking , no free parking
if you pay an expensive room you expect a lot, if you pay cheap room what you will expect right? but its the other way around because, hotels under 100$ has everything water, coffee, ref , microwave its just that most of the time the rooms are undated but rooms are just for sleeping, & shower so it doest really matter.. ohh well..
somehow we enjoyed our stay we just ignore the bad points we dont have a choice anyway the room was paid.
during the first night we roam around the strip, bar hopping, food hunting , and a birth day toast, hubby also got a tattoo of my name.
day 1 its shopping day, we went to saw grass mills , i scored nice stuff ( yesterdays post), before dinner time we went to galleria mall i got my 2 bags ( last Sundays post), after malling we hang out in the hotel bar because its raining and we dont want to walk around outside.
